“ the 7:15 plane to Seoul, South Korea is departing in 3 minutes”.

That sentence meant so much to me and yet it hardly felt real. Who would have thought that 12 years ago I sat in my room making a promise to myself that I would visit Korea at least once. Who would have thought that I would actually be moving there? Teaching and inspiring students while visiting places around Korea. Going shopping all around seoul, visiting JYP Entertainment and even jamming out at a blackpink concert. In that moment at the airport all these thoughts came rushing to mind, they brought happiness and excitement. But they also brought nostalgia and sadness. All the hard work I have done all these years is for this one thing. This piece of paper in my hand. All the late nights crying from stress and from being homesick to the losing friends and family to finally graduating. All of it was for this one moment. This jump into my long awaited future. Annyeong, Youngsan, South Korea.….
